About Us

Wesley Glen Ministries is a Christian organization supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across Georgia. For more than four decades, we have helped neighbors build relationships, pursue their goals, and participate in the communities they call home.

We have a robust offering of services including residential support in Macon and St. Marys, community programs in Macon and Columbus, Supported Employment, and much more.

We begin by listening to each neighbor—their strengths, interests, needs, and hopes for the future—and adapt support as their lives change.

We are ALL

Our faith is lived out in everyday relationships: listening, showing up consistently, honoring each person’s dignity, and making room for neighbors to serve and lead.

Our Neighborhood Values—Nurturing, Empathy, Integrity, Growth, Hope, Belonging, Openness, Responsibility, and Safety—guide how we care for one another.

Our Story

Wesley Glen Ministries was previously known as Agape Village. Established in response to a need for services for people with IDD, the ministry has grown over more than four decades to support neighbors in more ways and more places.

Today, neighbors live in Wesley Glen homes in Macon and St. Marys, participate in community programs in Macon and Columbus, and pursue meaningful work through Supported Employment. As our services have grown, our commitment has remained personal and lasting: to know each neighbor, support their goals, and create opportunities to belong and contribute throughout their lives.

The People
Behind Our Mission

Direct Support Professionals, nurses, program staff, case managers, employment staff, and other team members build relationships with neighbors and support them each day. Wesley Glen’s leadership and Board of Directors guide that work and help us plan responsibly as more neighbors and families seek support.

Our Commitment to Quality

We are honored to walk alongside neighbors and their families. We listen to what matters to each neighbor, work to remove barriers to their goals, and prayerfully consider how to serve them well. Individualized planning, staff training, ongoing review, and outside accountability help us carry that responsibility with care.

Neighbors help identify their goals through Individual Support Plans developed with their families or guardians and care teams. Staff track progress and adjust support as needs and interests change. Neighbors, families, staff, and community representatives also help review our services through Wesley Glen’s Performance Quality Improvement process.

Wesley Glen holds accreditation through the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) and EAGLE, a faith-based accreditation program. These standards help us examine the quality and safety of our work and keep improving as we grow. For neighbors and families, that commitment should be visible in daily life: staff who know the person, support shaped by their goals, and a team willing to listen and learn.
